Na trhu je veľa publikácií ktoré popisujú rôzne techniky a aspekty agilného procesu . Avšak literatúry popisujúcej samotný Scrum je iba minimum. Z môjho pohľadu najdôležitejší a trochu zabudnutý dokument je Scrum Guide, ktorý udržiavajú Ken Schwaber a Jeff Sutherland.
Aby sme záujemcom o Scrum tento dokument priblížili, iniciovali sme jeho preklad. O Scrume sa veľa hovorí, a väčšina z nás o ňom hovorí po česky alebo po slovensky. Doteraz sme ale nemali kodifikovanú terminológiu. Preto mnohí používajú rôzne označenie pre tú istú vec a riadia sa v terminológii pocitovo. Odborná diskusia by však mala mať terminológiu ustálenú.
Prekladom Scrum Guidu sme štandardizovali názvoslovie, a v tom vidím najväčší prínos našej práce. Prax ukáže, ako sa nám to podarilo.
Perlička zo zákulisia: Aby sme mohli preklad považovať za národný projekt, prioritou bolo zapojiť ľudí z čo najviac lokalít. Následná integrácia rôznych prekladateľských štýlov do jedného výstupu bola asi najväčšou skúškou. Týmto súčasne ďakujem všetkým, ktorí si našli čas a pomohli s prekladom.

There is currently available great number of publications on the market, which describes various techniques and aspects of agile process. But there is almost no literature describing Scrum itself. In my book the most important document in this field, and also a bit forgotten one, is Scrum Guide, maintained by Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland.
We have initiated its translation to bring Scrum closer to local community. Scrum is frequent topic these days but most of us speak about it in Czech or in Slovak. So far we haven’t had codified terminology. That is why many use different wording to indicate same thing and guide their use of terminology by their feelings. However, the terminology should be standardized.
With this translation of Scrum Guide we have standardized the terminology, and I personally see in this the greatest benefit of our work. Now the praxis will show us how much we were successful.
From the background: To consider translation as a national project, the priority was to get engaged people from greatest number of locations. Integration that followed from various interpreting styles into single homogenous output was our greatest challenge. Here I thank to all, who found their time and participated on the translation.
